New SRT-8 Charger

Rolling past Autonation Dodge, here in Dallas, this past Saturday, I saw a new Charger SRT-8 pulling out of their lot. White, tinted windows, 20" chrome wheels, lowered suspension, and an obviously modified exhaust. He turned left in front of me, and while rolling, lit-up the tires! What a rush seeing the tire smoke, and the exhaust note! Slowing for traffic, I followed him about a mile. At the next intersection, he turned right, and lit-em up again, then quickly disappeared down the street!

Re: New SRT-8 Charger

There's no such thing as a white SRT-8.

You sure it wasn't a modified R/T? Or perhaps a Silver SRT-8?

Re: New SRT-8 Charger

But just think. If everything goes smoothly, One day (hopefully shortly) he will be driving his car past the dealership, and you can pull out in your new challenger, and light up your tires infront of him. And all he will be able to do is say "Damn I should have waited!"

Re: New SRT-8 Charger

Well now, let me recall the events. Saturday afternoon, not a cloud in sight, windows down, temp in the high 60's, sun glasses on, watching traffic, saw the Charger. It turned left in front of me, from my left. Saw the front end, the passenger side, the rear. Was in traffic directly behind it at the light. Dealer tags. Yep, that was a SRT-8 badge on the lower right trunk lid. Yep, it was a Charger emblem on the lower left trunk lid. Yep, it was white (well actually more Vanilla-ish, a shade of white). No mistakes here. It came from the dealer's lot holding about 35 White (really white, as in snow) Hemi Charger Dallas patrol units. The only thing i'm NOT sure about is the wheel size. Bigger than stock. I'll just call them "large by wide".
Obviously color combinations are surfacing. I saw at least one gold/beige/tan/light colored car with beige/tan leather interior Hemi 300C on E-bay. Another color supposedly not available.
Let's not be so quick to say "never". I saw what I saw. No mistakes.

Re: New SRT-8 Charger

Hey boogieman I'm sorry some people can't appreciate what your story is really about. Some people have to nitpick about stupid things like rims and colors. I, on the other hand, love to hear any story about rumbling exhausts and smoking tires. Good story, wish I were there.
