Put your $$ where your mouth is !! I put my deposit down!!

OK I have been in contact often w/ Jupiter Dodge the last few weeks as I have now purchased a Brilliant Black SRT Charger to add to my fleet , however not from Jupiter Dodge. Anyway this dealership is now taking deposits and officially lining up buyers for their allotment list. The way they are working it is and typical dealer BS, the guy w/the highest deposit will get the first car. Then it will go by when you got your deposit in. They are accepting deposits now and the minimum amt is $1K.

Fnelli@Napleton.com the sales mgr is Frank, ph number is 561-745-0198

Ok who can beat me to the number 1 spot ??

If you are talking about a deposit on a charger then I believe you -- If you are talking about the challenger then I call BS... dealers; I do not care how shady, will not take a deposit on a car not in production yet....

Thumbs down Re: Put your $$ where your mouth is !! I put my deposit down!!

Thanks, but no thanks! No offense, but if you want the number one spot that badly at your 'preselected' Dodge dealership, then by all means, go for it! You might be the first one 'at the top' of their list, but you most certainly won't be the first one to own a new generation Dodge 'Challenger'. Personally, I'd just as soon leave the $1,000+ in my own bank account where I can earn the interest instead of your dealer. I'll most certainly purchase one, but I won't get 'suckered' into participating in anything like this at any automotive dealership anywhere. I'll also not get caught-up in a 'bidding war', which does nothing but do a disservice to the majority of our forum members who want a new generation Dodge 'Challenger'...but, at a reasonably obtainable price.

No I am not referring to the SRT Charger, why would you need to put a deposit on one? they are already showing up on the various PO lots here in S fla. I am refering to the Chally and like I said it is BS on HOW they are assigning spots to get on the Allotment list. I am very ADD in that I want to be the first on my block to get new toys. Be it in my business dealings or personal issues I just like to get what I want when I want it

I think you all misread my post, this is for SPOTS TO GET ONTO THE ALLOTMENT LIST or in simple english it is the waiting list to get on the waiting list. As far as someone wanting to hold onto their $1k for "interest" at best and this is giving you some solid financial connections you are giving up maybe $480 at most so not really worth mentioning.

I didnt mean to rub anyone the wrong way, I must admit I am tired of just spinning my wheels here w/no new information or even excitement on the forum for a good amount of time so take it as you like.

Actually it is, if your dealer signs-up several individuals "for spots" on their allotment list; i.e., $480 x 'list spot holders' = ? Also, for some, $480 is actually a lot of money, and such which will help in meeting their down-payment for a new Dodge 'Challenger'.

You also didn't "rub anybody the wrong way", nor do I feel that anybody misread your initial post either. I most certainly didn't, and I have the English degree to prove it.

Hey, at least you did generate some excitement...albiet for only a short while. Now, go find us some 'Challenger News'.

Re: Put your $$ where your mouth is !! I put my deposit down!!

If I had money to burn and a fleet to build......
SRT Magnum
71 GTX 440 six pack
69 Charger R/T
SRT Grand Cherokee
Z06 Corvette
Screaming Eagle V-Rod

Did I forget any foreign junk? I did, didn't I.

That certainly sounds like a nice fleet to me.

Re: Put your $$ where your mouth is !! I put my deposit down!!

it would certainly do it for me

I'd add in the 67 Shelby and get rid of the bike though, I don't ride, so I don't know
