Post Rear Wheel Drive vs. Front Wheel Drive

I discovered a very informative article about the advantages of rear wheel drive (like our Challengers) over front wheel drive. See:

Why rear-wheel drive is coming back. - By Mickey Kaus - Slate Magazine

Re: Rear Wheel Drive vs. Front Wheel Drive

Front wheel drive cars are more prone to wear and tear than a rear wheel drive vehicle. Think of it this way. If your car breaks down, you don't grab the car and pull it to the side of the road. You push it. Pushing is a lot easier and uses less force than pulling. Rear wheel drive cars aren't stressed out with pulling a heavy car around like the front wheel drives.

Re: Rear Wheel Drive vs. Front Wheel Drive

Enjoyed that. The article didn't talk about how RWD cars just ride better.

I've owned one FWD car. I'd never buy another one. Don't care for FWD at all. Two door, RWD, and a V-8....that's what I want and that's what I'm buying.

Thanks for posting.
