A revolution in braking ? Electronic Wedge Brakes by Siemens.
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../61106011/1065
It seems this is quite a revolutionary technology, if it will deliver the way they (= Siemens) say... Thoughts ? |

Yes, this sounds real promising. The first image that came to me was like the old fashioned wooden door stopper=put it there ,give a tug & that door "ain't movin' "
! Siemens, the well known German electronics wizards claims the high-tech stoppers, which are made from ceramics and carbon along with an electronic motor will drastically shorten stopping times/distances !!! one of the kickers is : the faster the speed , the better the EWBs performance !! Sounds good to me ! |
