Viper or Challenger

I'm looking for a used Viper but if the Challenger comes out soon I'm afraid Viper resale might drop. Should I wait and get a brand new car for the same price as a used Viper?

Re: Viper or Challenger

I've always loved Vipers but (like most people) they've always been too rich for my blood - but even if I had a choice between a used Viper or a new Challenger for around the same price... I'd still have to go with the new Challenger.

Re: Viper or Challenger

I'm a big (290lb) guy, and could never fit into the Viper. If you have a family get the Challenger. Hopefully the Challenger's backseat will have some leg room unlike those old ponycars where the backseat was only good for little kids and your mother-in-law!

Re: Viper or Challenger

Kids are all moved out, this would just be for me and the wife. I've always owned corvettes but with all chryslers new products I find myself turning into a Mopar guy.

Re: Viper or Challenger

I have the same decision ahead of me. If they only offer the CHallenger as a limited production model, It's a Viper for sure. I have wanted a Viper since the day they came out though, so...... I don't know. I want both

Re: Viper or Challenger

I'm gonna be the odd man out and say, Viper. I know, I know but come on, the Viper just has a little bit more of a wow factor due to the fact that they will (hopefully) be dwarfed in production #'s.

True, but the Viper, by and large, is a toy. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but I'd say it's a fair guess that very few Viper owners use their cars as daily drivers. The Challenger will be much friendlier than a Viper as a daily driver, which is why it's appeal is much larger.

My IDEAL scenario would be to have a Challenger as a daily driver and a Viper as a weekend toy (along with me winning the lottery too! )
