Question What's coming next......ROAD RUNNER & HORNET?

Two more concept that are returning to the concept line (old heritage names): ROAD RUNNER and HORNET.

Surprised to see the rear-end tail lamps of the next concept was seen in a video.

Could Dodge build a four-door EVO X or a VW Polo and call it the HORNET...

Re: What coming......ROAD RUNNER & HORNET

I don't see the Hornet as much of a classic so an EVO based concept that would truly replace the SRT-4 would be cool. As for Road Runner they'll probably just though some stickers on a Magnum and call if good.

No kidding!

In other news, there are rumors that Dodge's original muscle truck "The Dude" was going to be revived. I suppose it could be a hit among the "Brokeback Mountain" crowd.

Question Re: What coming......ROAD RUNNER & HORNET

How about bringing back the Barracuda? I love that name.. would "Chrysler Barracuda" be blasphemous?

When you think of all the sucky made-up names most current cars-trucks have (Aveo, Cobalt, Fusion, Freestyle, Sinotta, Elantra) I dont think its such a bad idea to revive an old one.

I just hope unlike the Charger-Magnum DC will stick the Road Runner name on a cool looking and powerful 2-door in the future and not a 4-door.

But why Hornet?! I will always think of the AMC Hornet from the early 70's - a cheap but pretty durable budget car, which with a facelift later became the Eagle 4X4 and the Concord - another AMC name Mopar revived as the Concorde. I guess there's some old AMC people at DC still around from the 1988 buyout to get Jeep.
