Re: What's coming next......ROAD RUNNER & HORNET?

Chrysler Barracuda would not be blasphemy, that's what it was called in Australia.

When you think Hornet, don't think of the AMC Hornet, think of the Hudson Hornet, which was a very cool high performance car indeed.

Never seen the Aussie version of the Barracuda, was it simular to the 60's Aussie Valiant?

Still most baby boomers will think of the Hornet as the AMC model. AMC did try to make the Hornet into a high performance car. They stuck a 285hp 360 into the Hornet in the early 70's creating the SC/360 coupe (thats the picture I posted). It didnt sell well, only 750 were built (according to http://www.motorcarportfolio.com/sit...ct.cfm?id=2583) proably due to the success of the Javelin. Too bad AMC didnt try putting a 360 in a Gremlin!

And I like the Dart name for a new Dodge than Cornet or Hornet (or Neon).
