What's Your Story??

By request, I'm starting this up here...
This thread has been very popular at 300cforums... some crazy & fun stuff!
Thanks for the suggestion Mr.DJ
__________________________________________________ ___________________

There are some very unusual, and intriguing usernames that have been created by the members and I've wondered what the meaning is behind some of them...

Mine has a double meaning:
I loved the commercial with the dad that asked his kid "can you say hemi?" and the way the little guy s-l-o-w-l-y drags out the word.
But, my username is also my lic. plate, preceeded by a heart, indicating love, HE for MEEE (3 EEE's BTW) to have 'sacrificed' his BMW so she could have her latest heart's desire... a 300C
What a guy
(P.S. no regrets on his part either! ) < click for more pics
Here she is before the mods got started...

-- So let's hear it, what's your story?

Re: What's Your Story??

HEMEEE,

Thanks for posting this thread over here as well. I'm sure that members here will also have fun learning a little bit more about each other...just like we've done over at 300Cforums.com.

Well, mine goes back about thirty years now to my former radio days when I was a radio disc-jockey, production director, television announcer, and commercial voice-over artist. I believe that it was actually one of my former news directors who gave me the 'Mr.DJ' moniker during one of his broadcast outro segways..."and now back to Mr.DJ, the idol of the airwaves."

Shortly thereafter, fellow radio personalities and friends began calling me Mr.DJ, and that moniker has stuck with me throughout the years and subsequent careers. Although that was quite sometime ago, and that particular radio format is now referred to as 'Classic Rock', my voice is still as distinctive as ever. So, if any of you ever require a voice-over artist, then just shoot me a PM...if the money is good.

Re: What's Your Story??

CUEBALL is my nickname since I was 18.
I was in the Iowa Guard at that time (now active duty 17 years). I was already going bald when I went to basic training in '84. Of course, they shaved your head in training, but when I went back to civilian life, mine did not grow back. I am fairly built, so sometimes get MR Clean, but cueball is the longest one.
By the way, before that I was "Q-tip" with my then present blonde hair.

Well guys my username is pretty straight forward, I'm an Aussie and have a 04 Durango with a HEMI, so it seemed the right way to go.

Re: What's Your Story??

Bought a dodge neon srt-4 in 03, went to Afghanistan in 04, sold the 03 after it blew due to someone's poor excuse for a motor build up. (never let someone else build your car while out of the country) bought an 05 did some bolts on ran 12's sold it bought a hemi 4x4 quad cap for the baby girl on the way (3weeks till do date) I am currently swapping a Nissan 240 with a sr20det.... Thats about it.... I think when the challenger gets here if it is what we are expecting I will look strongly at it.... pending it doesn't cost 100k bucks. heh.

Re: What's Your Story??

My names is Karl and a friend and I use to joke around and do the Karlton dance from Fresh Prince of Belair. As soon as I get my sig set up that will be on it, very funny. I currently own a silver 04 srt-4, but will be getting the Challenger when it comes out.
