Customer: Sure.
Josh: (Lifting the hood), notice this little loop on the engine. That is an engine lift loop. You 'should' not need that though.
Customer (Why the heck is he showing me that?)

Oddly, I have seem many engines with engine lift loops on them. They were used to put the engine in and they left it in place since it did not cost much.
Toyota left them on the 2jz in the MKIV supra. It was my absolute favorite asthetic feature on that motor. Well......apart from it having TWO turbochargers.

On the note of slamming the hood, I always drop mine from either 2 inches above the latch or set it on the latch and push it shut. Either or. I hate people who slam the hood shut.

I had a salesman try and tell me that Challenger was not a muscle car, it was a pony car. I about slapped him.

I love American muscle cars like a thrice-divorced 45-year old tax attorney loves barely legal coeds. That is to say; passionately, inappropriately and almost certainly inadequately while muttering whispered apologies to the beautiful thing I am probably ruining forever.

I think the greater lesson here is that the designers of the new dart are expecting the engine to catch afire

That's the roll that Fiat and more importantly Ferrari, played in its development. 458 Italia influence!

I love it!!

The car salesman is FAR smarter than the consumer in this instance, and said consumer has his head so far up his own butt, that he can't see for the crap.

A BIG apology is due that salesman, both in person, and online. As a matter of fact, we should know his name and what dealership he works at, so maybe we can all show him this thread.

HeeHeeHee...OP is such a tool! Please go buy a mustang...sounds more like the type of person you are.

Wish I was fishin'.

Talking about sounding like an idiot in front of a bunch of people. Just because your older doesn't mean you know everything. The most knowledgeable people are the ones that are continuously learning. Age does not equal automatic intelligence. You sound like a fool. You are misinformed and ignorant.

I'll leave this with my favorite saying, "Never argue with an idiot, they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience"

I would have at least researched it, or tried to google it at the least, before posting a hateful thread, then getting ragged on for jumping to conclusions about the facts, theres alwasys next time though, I at least learned something new today.

There's a difference

1.making an honest mistake and acknowledging it

2. being an A-hole because you think you know everything.

He is the second. ^_^

It's not about making mistakes. It's about trying to make yourself feel better by making someone else look bad, coming up wrong and not having the balls to set things right. That's a big difference than simply making a mistake.

I think he just jumped to conclusions because A. It was an unusual statement from the salesman and B. automatically most people take everything a car salesman says with a huge grain of salt due to the fact that there have been, believe it or not, one or two car salesman throughout history make erroneous statements to impress a potential buyer. Sponsors of this site are the exception of course. Maybe he'll make things right. We'll see.
