Are you running full synthetic oil? That helps too. I've read that running better plugs and a K&N filter will improve it. Changing your gears to say a 3.23 or whatever it is I think helps too. But that's kind of costly. I usually get around 470 miles when the light comes on if it's strictly highway.

Gentlemen: I have Flowmaster Super 40's and a CAI and to be honest, I don't see much difference in MPG just an awesome sound without the resonators. 14.0 in the City and about 22-23 on the Hwy.

When im driving for long distances, i shift no higher than 1400 rpms. Our cars have the torque to build speed at low rpms. Mixed highway and city without getting on it all the time i get about 20ish. If you want a louder sound, get your rear resonators removed and replaced with straight pipes. It has such a crazy mean sound when ur WOT is addicting!! haha. Ive had my car like that for almost a year and i still love it. The rest is stock. If that doesn't make you happy not much else will. I havent been dynoed, but im sure i picked a little power from doing that. All i had done to my car at the time was the resonators removed and i ran a 13.5. Im sure having a CAI might help a little with your MPG too.

I noticed your post back in June where you mentioned you got 28mpg normal crusing, can you tell me how you got that. Recently got a 2011 rt 6 speed classic and best I can get on average is 20.2. Also, want lounder tone, but increase MPG/performance...have you heard anything on the flowmaster American thunder?
