You cannot just throw a lot of HP and go fast. The cars computers are hooked together and they do not like to let you go fast. We work two years on figuring out how to get GRIZZ over the 205 mark. I have driven 205+ with four of us aboard (900+lbs) in a 1.5 mile in Wyoming. Taller tires and we could get a little faster. We just figured out the way to do it last October how to do it and had a tranny fail after one shake down run at the Texas Mile. We are still working on issue and GRIZZ is not a finished product yet. WE have put a lot of effort to get where we are and the top speed is what I have been chasing. We plan to go 220+.

Karl did run twice. He ran a 203+ in the mile and did not attempt the 1.5 mile. Bill Schering, with Team Spankin Time, also ran over 200 MPH and did not run the 1.5 mile. Did not get a chance to talk to Karl, but Sammi did. He said he was just running some shake down runs. He left early. I do not know what his issues were. Karl has not raced in 2.5 years trying to build his and I heard Hemi Sam would have beaten his record in Texas, but broke on the last run. I do not know what broke. I have been banned to use Karl's and Hemi Sam's name on this forum so I do not mention them. I got in a bunch of hot water last year doing it. They have done a lot in going fast and have both given me advice. Hemi Sam especially at first. He was there at my first Texas Mile. Going fast with our cars is a issue.

Since your mailbox is full, here is the message I tried to send ya:
Got them and had my winter tires mounted on em, so I'm good to go once November rolls around to pop em on the car.

Will posts some pics in November once they are on it.

    Thanks again!

Chris1992, tried to PM you a question about 275/40/17 drag radials but your box is full. Basically I saw in your sig that you are running them, have you had any problems with your car going into limp mode because of them? if yes how did you solve the problem? I have a thread about my issues with them here http://www.challengertalk.com/forums/f100/whos-running-275-40-17-drag-radials-68139/ If you have any input, or even if you have had no problems with them I'd be glad for any info you could provide. Thanks.

Not sure who Dave is, My wife and I'll be there as long as it goes off on the first weekend. I can't take off 2 weeks in a row if it rains.

I was thinking of putting the 91 tune in incase I was some place that didn't have 93. I've been on trips before and they only had up to 91 and I'ld hate to have to stop for gas 2x because I couldn't get good enough gas.

Chris was your original tune a 91 oct? That's what I thought you said over there. I was going to get a preditor and a CAI and put a 91 tune it so if I can't get 93 it would be OK but if it's already a 91 that would be stupid.

From what I heard today they are leaning toward Bowling Green the weekend after Easter. Here's were I got that from. If you get a chance look it over and see if you read it any other way.
Anyone have any Challengerfest news yet?

I just haven't heard anyone say anything about it when I was on there but I usually just check in and leave there and it seemed like all the plans were being made here.
It will be about 2X as far as they said before but I plan on going. It will stink if only 30 people show up.

    Chris,
As you know I'm kinda new at this so this may be a stupid question but do people on that other forum go to Challengerfest or is that just for this forum? I know alot of us are on both but just curious.
