Mine also started making a whine when wot but I think I busted the powersteering because of turning the steering wheel all the way left or right while accelerating. Burnouts and donuts were few but I guess ut was enough yo blow the pump. I think many of the guys that have had this issue are switching to new powersteering pump ghat comes in the new cars. My dealer just swapped it out for a new one even after seeing the Kb they did it under warranty. I did however have to pay for a new pump but not labor
