The Challenger uses 8, 3157 tungsten filument bulbs in the rear light modules even though the 4 in the center section only utilize the tail light element....

It may not be possible to bring the 440 up to 2011 standards.

I'm not an engineer but, there were LED replacement lamps that had built in resistors, they could go bad, but, both at the same time, unlikely. Check the wiring, you might find some resistors already...
