repairing forgeline rims?

I have a set of forgeline's that have some curb rash and even worse the chrome is peeling in some spots on 2 of them. I priced sending them to forgeline to have the outer rim replaced but they charge $400 per wheel + shipping which is out of my budget. I was wondering if there is another alternative. Does anyone know of a way to repair these?
