Yes, because I trust them to not kill me with their idiocy every day. It's the status quo, they don't have more power over me than I do over them.

I break the rules, I'm punished by the government. The government breaks the rules, who punishes them?

What exactly have you lost in your lifetime that the government took? I’ll wait. Maybe the government is tracking you, maybe they’re reading this right now. Hi Donald!

What do you have to hide that you’re so worried about? Your pornhub history? The times you sometimes speed? Like **** man, they really don’t give a shit about you, promise, you’re nobody to them lol. If they want to look at my internet history or see what pictures of puppies I liked on Instagram more power to em, it’s boring.

What do you know about me, bud?

I lived in a 3rd world shithole until 2001, I went back in 2014 to visit family, and it had gotten considerably worse than I remembered, and SOMEHOW it has actually deteriorated beyond that in the present day. It's been in the news a lot, I'll let you figure it out from there.

It isn't about what I'm currently hiding, it's about what I'm not hiding and they decide to make illegal in the future. Like maybe your car, or your guns, or your political views, or your savings account, who knows.

Yeah, don’t call me bud...I don’t watch the news so I have no idea what you’re talking about. Then again maybe that’s why I’m not as paranoid as you are.

You can always go back home?

Also how do you know no one from the government get punished? Just because you don't hear about it does not mean it does not happen.

Wait so you came from a 3rd world country and yet say the US government sucks. I am 1st generation US citizen and my parents would frequently say the US government is not perfect but they prefer it over their former country's government.

Do you listen to yourself? I can forgive your ignorance (not in a condescending way, I don't expect everyone to be up to date with the shit show going down in some poor south american country) but instead of heeding my warning and getting informed, you insult me instead. And then you proceed to tell me to go back to a place I do not like and I don't want the USA to become.

You're a clown.

I omitted it for emphasis, but it doesn't help you at all.

You basically implied that the government should jail me for having an opinion different than your own.

Anything else you'd like to add before I'm sent to the gulag in honor of Comrade Stalin?

I invite you to go back and provide any quote where I said the government sucks. I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world, and I'd rather suck-start my shotgun than ever be forced to go back to it.

I very much agree with your parents, but if you believe giving our government more power is in your best interest, you're sadly mistaken and naive.

I'm done here, good day.

Do you listen to YOURself?! If you don't know right from wrong (or don't agree...with right and wrong as outlined by the US government) then your individual freedom should be restricted.

How did i insult you? I just think you’re being overly paranoid about this. It was tongue in cheek, count your blessings and be happy. Nobody is restricting any of your freedoms, the less you worry about it the more you can live. I avoid the media and the news because of how awful and doomsday it always is. I go home and I enjoy my belongings and wife and dogs and live life day by day. Worrying about a non-existent thing isn’t going to change anything.

I would gladly give the US government more power rather than give it to individuals like you (trust me...so would my parents).

Title of the thread makes no sense at all.......the kid who stole this car was caught.......so.......the best way to avoiding a speeding ticket sure isn't found in driving a hell cat. Abysmal MPG at high speed appears to be a pretty serious Achilles heel.

The best way to avoid the ticket (setting aside the OBVIOUS advice to just drive within the post speed limits)........probably a fast motor cycle if you're gonna stay on the street in town. The ability to squeeze down ally ways, between cars and of course BLINDING acceleration that can leave a Hell Cat in the rear view mirror.

Out in the rural roads........ maybe an SUV or Pick up truck with enough ground clearance to leave the highway when required to do so.

A Hell Cat or any Challenger........not my first choice if I actually had to run for it....not even close. A fast car more capable of doing corners and breaking might be some-what more useful.......but in the end it's rarely worth the effort.

A ticket to pay seems better than a night in jail and a court date. YMMV.

Then there are the intangible unknowns.

Pull over quick and show the appropriate level of respect and remorse.......MAYBE you can talk your way out of the ticket.

On the flip-side:

"RUN".......and you better get away. A professional COP having a GOOD DAY simply cuffs you and PLACES you in the back of his cruiser. The COP who's had a BAD DAY and is really quite the ****** BAG......well......all bets are off.

Ah...what you don't like your own medicine.

To the rest of the CT forum...my apologies for dragging this on.
