***** clearly wanted to beat me to the highway on-ramp in his FERD crossover and got pissy when I passed him.

If I wasn't in the middle of a move to Texas, I would have fought the ticket, because I had him on camera failing to stop on a right turn at a red light, and me clearly being ahead of him, which means he accelerated past the speed limit to end up in my blind spot.
In Texas you have 30 days to change your license to current Texas address. Welcome to Texas Challenger bother.

Next time just get out and hand him the keys and challenge him to take it for a ride and not get on it or exceed the limit. The cars have mind control and force you to do things you wouldn’t normally do. “I hear and obey”.

Your right that's all been updated now. You have 30 days to register your vehicle and 90 days to change your drivers license to Texas unless
Active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces and non-resident, full-time students attending a Texas college or university are not required to register or title their vehicles in Texas.

All kidding aside, my brother-in-law is a state trooper and I hang out with him and some of his trooper buddies ever so often. Once a year they participate in the local parade and take my kids along for the ride, it's a blast. They are regular guys like you and me but if you hear some of their stories I can see why they turn into hard asses when on the beat.

Sec. 11-505. No person shall operate any motor vehicle in such a manner as to cause or allow to be emitted squealing, screeching or other such noise from the vehicle's tires due to rapid acceleration or excessive speed around corners or other such reason.
This Section shall not apply to the following conditions:
(a) an authorized emergency vehicle, when responding to an emergency call or when in the pursuit of an actual or suspected violator; nor
(b) the emergency operation of a motor vehicle when avoiding imminent danger; nor I

I wanted to the plates with 11 505 on it but it's not a valid alpha/numeric structure here in Illinois.
I'm glad I can launch the daily driver without the tires making a single sound. The only noise you hear is the

backfire from the exhaust between shifts.

If I do the same thing in the Challenger.... Well you know how that goes!
