Not that I use my local Dodge dealership for washes, but I was picking up parts for the jeep the other day and noticed their carwash uses a roller/brush set-up. I took my classic RT through a brush type carwash and the polished wheels now have what looks like brush marks/swirls on it...DOH!

My car is coated as well. Will never be taking my Black R/T through any car wash. I don't think there are any laser washes in my area. Always hand wash...with the 2 bucket method, with grit guards...and animal skin mitt. Hey A guy, you said you air dry yours? I mean I have an air compressor with an attachment to blow air on things...I guess I could try that the next time I wash my car. How big a compressor do you have? Mine is small but it puts out a good amount of air. I am always nervous drying off the car after washing..even though I use microfiber towels...but still. Yours is black too, you know how black shows every little damn imperfection!

I use my leaf blower + compressed air and then a microfiber drying towel. You can get a battery powered light weight leaf blower if you have an electric blower and not be worried about using an electric tool while standing on a wet surface. You can also use a shop vacuum. Just move the hose to the blower side and you are good to go.

I use the sheet method after everything, then a leaf blower, then a trip down the freeway and back. Then I detail the front and rear which will always have water spots. So far so good

I used to dry my car with a sheet, but the sight of me out there waving a white sheet around tended to draw in undesirable people who wanted to be my new friend for some reason. They’d invite me to get-togethers (or rallies as they called them) where they’d light these big “T”s on Fire and yell stuff.

It was always a party for sure, but not really my scene, so I quit attending (plus there seemed to be a lot of bigots and xenophobes at those things, weird).
