2016 What is this? HELLCAT

I just noticed these 2 items on my exhaust pipes on my 2016 Challenger HELLCAT.
What are they and function?

Sorry, photo won't show up, item in question looks like a small electric motor mounted to both exhaust pipes.

The two "black boxes"? The active exhaust valves.

GM and some others have active or adaptive exhaust - some use electric motors and some use vacuum servos.
