392 IE White Seats

So, over the last 2 seasons, it seems as if my seats have taken on some what of a non white appearance. They look good, but not the beautiful pearl white they were when I got the car.

I cleaned them just like the OEM calls for and also used Lexol and other items to keep them clean and conditioned.

The goal is to get back to white, not a dirty white, but I cannot figure it out. Any suggestions?

Thinking take it somewhere to have them professionally cleaned if I cannot get it.

Mine still look factory new, but it's not a daily driver. I have about 11,500 miles on it and drive it mostly on weekends. I've wiped the seats down with a damp microfiber towel when cleaning the interior. That seems to work.

Don't know man. Trying to get different seats, just going to remove mine completely. Daily driver here at 24k miles. They aren't white anymore, it's quite dirty and the blue has faded into the white quit a bit. So just going to put them away for a while.

I only drive on the weekends and she is in storage from October through March. I drive with the windows down all the time so I am assuming that is it.

There has to be a way to get rid of the yellow tint that has taken over the white. I guess I am going to the dealership and ask them.

mine are perfect still...4,500 miles

i never really clean them....i only have the 2 front seat backs exposed...the bottoms and the back seats i have completely covered (neoprene covers)

i have used armor all a couple of times on them

my big thing is to watch what i wear....i only wear light colored shirts, i untuck my shirts to make sure the belt doesnt stain.....i make sure its not a new shirt where the color could transfer.....and i make sure the wife doesnt wear anything that could transfer.....if she does i put a towel behind her back

the White seats look cool, but they are just stupid.....

for $500 you can get nice neoprene seat covers that are grey w/ a blue center panel...they somewhat look like the IE seats...thats what id recommend for you

i doubt they will come clean if they look yellow

maybe a pro with a steam cleaner can do it for a few hundred

It's probably just a matter of time until all the IE seats show wear... Any dyed leather usually will come back to it's natural light tan look with enough wearing from rubbing on them or excessive cleaning. Charcoal will to...just not as apparent.

This is definitely the way to go. I use Zaino Z9 leather cleaner with a Mothers brush and microfiber cloth and then apply Z10 leather in a bottle. Still pearly white. Only 1700 miles so time will tell but working great so far.

I wonder if the IE seat covers are available for replacement from the dealer parts....
