426 stroker kit

I just did a stroker kit on my 392 and I feel let down. I guess I was expecting alot more from it. I mean another 5 grand and it could have been supercharged

Curious how you feel let down. I put an N/A 426 in mine because I'm an old school guy. Don't care about the size of my manhood or lowest E.T.'s. Just wanted something reminiscent of the '70 Hemi Cuda I've always lusted after and fills the void between a Scat and Cat in performance

Can't get this sound with a blower cam... https://youtu.be/Zo166L-cPIk

426 is 7.0L. On the fence wether to keep the badge or not though. Kinda large in scale compared to the spoiler. Prob. won't need it once I install my new personalized plate

If I can be perfectly honest, it looks tacky and out of place.

Do you have any videos of drive bys or just inside the cabin? Do you still have stock exhaust?

I mean you are only talking 34 extra cubes. If you didn’t go balls out on it with a nasty cam, heads and high compression, you are talking maybe a 60hp bump? It will change the power curve but you aren’t talking a lot of power.
Hopefully you invested in those other aspects but if you did, why are you not happy?

Though you could have done the new MMX 454 stroker and that would have been wild even in a mild form.

Sounds great! Since I've had my TA 392 I've thought about putting a 426 in it simply for the old school reference and I'd change the sticker on the fender to be a TA 426.

I’m very happy with my stroker. Couldn’t care too much about the dyno numbers. I’m somewhere around 525/525. But I love how the car feels. Not to mention , I went with a 10.3:1 and it’s fully forged , so I can add some good boost down the road if I see fit. I did add some 3.70 gears that really woke it up through the midrange and low end. Haven’t been to the track yet , but have had it out with a bunch of fast cars and hurt some feelings. I’d expect to see some low 11’s when I get down there. Either way , I love my build and wouldn’t change anything. https://youtu.be/g0vny39lmQ8

Thanks praiseV8. Needed that feedback to help make my decision to remove it. I have to agree.

Just built/installed and still in the shop getting a few fine tune dyno tweaks but will do a street vid. soon. We're hoping (fingers crossed) to get as near to 550 at the wheels, on my builders Mustang dyno., as we can. Went catless with Kooks headers, Dynomax Race Bullets and kept the OE resos.

Strokers tend to add more torque and not so much hp.
