Should the trans be fine? The drive shaft is defiantly getting swapped out but what about the axles and diff? It’s a A8 and I’ve done some research but I’ve read on here that they can handle high numbers with no problems.

I'm at 765whp with my A8 Scat and should be over 800 with the winter upgrades. my A8 with a good TCM tune was fine at 710 but at 765 it would slip at WOT on the 3-4 shift. a buddy of mine made 150 passes at 730 whp before his started slipping. from what I've seem once past 700 whp it's just a matter of time.. I am running the 4in DSS. no other drivetrain issues so far.. there are Hellcats over 1000 whp with the same 230mm differential as the 6.4 cars have. just remember to take the slack out of the driveline when you stage..

Considering the maximum rated HP for the 8HP70 is 700hp and 700 ft/lb, I'd say no, trans won't be fine.

Correct, I was looking at the Diesel HP rating.

Damn lol looks like I’ll just stick with highway pulls till I can upgrade. I’ll probably throw on a diff brace just Incase too.

The Per4mance brace helps a lot . the subtle side to side movement in gears 2-3 under WOT will be gone.
