Who understands you, dude.
You may not understand me but I'm starting to understand you......you're stuck on this whole electric thing. Let it go......it doesn't apply in any way shape or form in a discussion of two door styling vs 4 door styling.

But since you went there .....just so you understand....

Electric is fast........it's a performance thing.

4 doors are just ugly vs the 2 door cars I prefer.

You're trying to compare apples and oranges when you make this link you're attempting to make. Maybe you'd understand better if I were to link things that are completely unrelated. Show me 2 electric cars.....one a 4 door and one a 2 door......I'm gonna probably like the 2 door better here too. Not sure why that would be confusing to you.

But really.....this is apples vs oranges. You can't link 'em up.

Performance (acceleration) is an OBJECTIVELY measured thing.

4 door vs 2 door.....hey.....that one is just my opinion that 2 doors are better looking than 4. Your opinion may disagree and that's fine because this one is completely SUBJECTIVE OPINION.....can't be measured.....it's all in what you like for the look of a car.

Oh.....and if you go back and re-read anything I've posted about electric.....I said it's coming, I said it's insane fast but no-where do I say I prefer it. Fact is at this point I don't....yet......but at the rate electric tech is improving my view of all this is changing. I saw little more than a JOKE in the Chevy Volt 10 years ago but, today I see where this is going.

It's not about electric as "OK" or "not OK".......it's just that it's coming and the reason seems obvious to me.

You were told we'd all be in a Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf or some other eclectic car because we gonna save the planet or we're gonna run out of oil.......clearly that wasn't going to work. That argument NEVER WORKS.

Cars sell on value and performance......the performance is there the value isn't yet but it's pretty damn close now and I do think a tipping point is coming.

You don't have to agree......I'm sure that at the dawn of 20th century the idea that automobiles would replace horse and carriage seemed crazy and unthinkable to a lot of people back then too.

That comparison is garbage, the horse could never keep up with an automobile, where as EVs don't do anything special other than plugging in to the damn wall and leeching off the power grid.

You don't have to tame your car, you don't have to feed it daily, you don't have to keep it clean if you don't want to.

Your analogy would make more sense if we were discussing self-driving cars vs currents cars.

If you don't like 4-door cars then maybe don't stir the pot with your nonconstructive opinion on a thread about a 4-door car.

Electric cars... I 'borrowed' this from another forum I am on, it relates to New Zealand so some of it will not be easily understood by an international audience, the numbers should still make a point not to mention would be worse in most other parts of the world showing what a farce this electric car push really is.

The charger started of with ugly tail lights and nose but got better and the 2011 up ones are nice. In fact, around here it's the younger crowd that prefers Chargers and the over 50 that usually hate on them.

Personally I don't understand it, I get that one likes classic Chargers and they may not like modern ones for the 4 doors. But what hate. Hope for the younger generation though, most Charger owners don't hate on two doors.

It's a Dodge, they took a gamble and made one of their classic nameplates and added two doors. The gamble paid off and it's been a success. It doesn't diminish the classic, enjoy what you like.

What do Challenger sales have to do with Hellcat motors in ugly sedans and pickup trucks? I firmly believe that the Challenger should be the "race car" and that putting 707 HP in a sedan, SUV or pick-up truck is a waste of a damn fine motor.

Then they slap a bunch of retro-inspired decals on it and stuff HEMI engines in it and try to pass it off as a "Muscle Car", when all it really is, is a 300 with some stickers, funky sheet metal and plastic, and big engines.

If they wanted a link to the past, they should have just called it a Monaco or Polara and offered it with a V-6 and a small V-8, and had a reasonable family sedan offering, not this franken-car that they have now.

You can't put 707 HP in a turd and call it a race car. It's just a really fast turd.

And when you put 707 HP on an tired looking SUV, you have a really fast AWD turd.

And I still don't know what they're going to do with 707+ HP in a RAM pick-up. Maybe get some bales of hay from the field to the barn in record time? Or beat everyone to the Kenny Chesney concert?
I agree with you on everything except the Ram. A standard cab, short bed Ram is really cool when it's got giddyup, but then I've got pickups in my genes...

BTW, why would anyone go to a Chesney concert?

I have to disagree. I think it's cool as hell that you can get a sedan or SUV with 707hp. It allows those buyers that want or need the extra room to have the same amount of fun as a Challenger owner.

Imagine you want a Challenger, but the wife and kids are demanding a SUV. That you can "compromise" and get a 707 snorting beast SUV surely has to be better than a "regular" SUV?
