Maybe what he should have questioned was how do you accomplish a 30 degree decrease in inlet air temp when typically the differential (between ambient and intake to engine) is usually between 5 and 15 degrees?

Or better still, being a supercharged system, isn't the heat exchangers (intercoolers) system the biggest factor in cooling the compressed air, which in the Hellcat, is designed to reduce the temperature of the intake air to less than 140 degrees.
So getting the raw inlet air 10, 15, 20 degrees cooler wouldn't be a big factor, unless it was being used to cool the radiators of the coolant system for the compressed air. (Maintained around 100 degrees in the Hellcats.)

So is combustion air temp being reduced by 30 degrees? If so how big a role is the raw air temp playing?

BTW...I love that new air scoop.

The Demon's huge air scoop is really impressive.

However, owners must caution people, especially girls in bikinis, not to stand too close.

Check out what happens with this car!

Wonder if that hood scoop will have any boundary layer problems, not sure how tall it is. If the headlight tubes and hood are connected to the same box and the hood scoop isn't tall enough, pressure from the tubes and a potential vacuum from the scoop could end up pulling air out of it, maybe...

My hat is off to FCA for continuing to push the limits to give us cars with massive amounts of horsepower, torque, and styling! Can't wait for the Demon's release!

I thought the same thing, but I am sure that it has been thoroughly tested and works.
