Would be cool if they brought over the Imperial and the New Yorker back.

Imperial being the full size sedan, while the New Yorker would be the GT coupe, and sort of sisters to the Charger and Challenger.

Chrysler should stick to high-end luxury, while Dodge does performance, and Jeep does off-road. I don't think the brand can suffer through another 200/Dart.

2016 Dodge Challenger R/T 392
Jazz Blue, A8, Driver Convenience Group

2018 Ram 1500 Express Quad Cab
Bright White, A8+V6

It's exactly what FCA doesn't want.

FCA doesn't need any more half-baked attempts.

The Dart was a rush job, and it fell short of the competition. The Sebring was kind of junky - felt like a lot of the mid-90s FWD stuff that was crude and didn't age well, and while the 200 that replaced it was better, it had some compromises in the design that hurt the sales.

FCA needs to study the competition and look at what sells well and design from that standpoint. When you see a domestic compact on the road - its Ford and there's lots of them. All the others are Asian makes - plenty of examples of what's executed well.

The Dart/200 were not only a rush job, they were also no fun or reliable.

My point is, sharing/rebadging is fine as long as the platform works. If the platform sucks, then no amount of lipstick is going to fix it.

Any news on this? I doubt we'll see a redesigned Challenger before 2021/2022. The 2015 update alongside Hellcat/Demon/AWD/Scatpak/etc options is giving it a good lifeline.

The current information is that there will be another refresh before the new models in 2024.

An Imperial concept car was introduced along with the Challenger, in 2006, but it never made it into production. To me, the styling was very uninspiring. Check out the following video clip at the 10:14 minute mark (Note- The Challenger introduction follows near the end of the clip).

Chrysler should make the ME 412 concept a reality. Dodge should make the Tomahawk street legal, Ram should make the Sidewinder concept a reality and Jeep should bring back the Scrambler. A little something for everyone, and possibly the Dodge Zeo could even become a reality, if the Tomahawk is too intimidating for you.

If they want to redo the Challenger I still like this design.
