I no longer own an automatic anything. It felt more like I was "riding" in the car and less like I was driving.
Time? A good driver can get close to automatic times. Learn your car, and you would be surprised what you can do.
Auto is great for jump in go and not have to do anything and become a part of traffic. Manual is good for ripping through gears and feeling like you are driving your muscle car.
That's funny. Guess that I'll ride by you while you're driving! Lol

Seriously though, it just a personal preference on what one likes best.
Exactly. This is my opinion and I hope no one sees it as anything else. My mom has an automatic charger, and loves it. I do not like automatic transmissions, but that is me!

You can keep your automatic. I love going though the gears and everything about a manual. Yeah, they’re slightly quicker, but I would never get one in a muscle car. Just doesn’t seem right.

I love my 18 even more since I installed a Barton in it.

My scat pack is my daily driver and I deal with Dallas traffic, so the A8 is just much better for that. I still absolutely love it and although the paddle shifters are not as well designed as my friends BMW M5, I also don't find them deficient in a way that takes away from my driving experience. Overall, you couldn't make me get rid of the car.

I prefer to drive my muscle car rather than ride in it.
I enjoy my DD with an auto-trans

6sp is more fun to drive period!

It may be a tad slower in the 1/4, and harder on parts... but still more fun!

Not a drag racer, but do race my car a few times per year in time attack events. I originally purchased a new 2016 Challenger Hellcat with the A8 transmission. After about 18 months I got so bored with it I traded for a 15 with a manual. I haven't regretted that decision or been tempted to upgrade to a Redeye, Demon, or anything else offered only with an automatic.
