What were we talking about?

I used to write a TWD and FTWD spoof blog that basically lampooned all of the technical errors, both in plot and specific actions. The fuel thing is something I've been on, for several years. After a year or so, all fuel, not stored with stabilizers, would go bad. This would put all of our heroes on foot (or horseback) in short order. However, this limits the plot and action for the writers, so being that this is for entertainment, and not documentary film, they take liberties with things like reality.....it is a Zombie show after all. So suspending belief comes with the territory. It's funny how we (my self included) wants every thing in the show to reflect reality....except for the walking-dead corposes.....those are OK.

FYI, Season 9 of TWD has them on horseback more (except for Daryl and his motorbike....mostly because Norman Reedus can't, or won't, ride a horse).
Here we go off topic.....
If it wasn't for the fact that in the first show, a 1970 GTO [ fake I'm sure ] was not involved in a chase and rolled over in a field, I would not of bothered with watching that show.
But yes since then I have not missed an episode of The Walking Dead.

Don't forget the Challenger R/T Glenn drove from Atlanta to the camp in Season 1. Daryl drove a Charger a few season later, and Negan had a Charger last season. Mopar's, represented.

Kind of sad that we all know so much about that show.

Ok then, with out looking, I believe in 1968: Night of the Living Dead: What car was the young couple driving when they went to the cemetery?

It was a Pontiac, but not sure if it was a GTO, Tempest, or LeMans.

By the way, I live and work in Butler County PA, and several of my relatives are buried in the Evans City Cemetery where those opening scenes in NOTLD were filmed. The opening scene was filmed on Franklin Road, which actually runs from Cranberry Twp. to Evans City, right past the cemetery. The Chapel seen in the movie (as well as the grave markers Judy stumbled against) are all still there.

My great-grandparents family farm is only a few miles from the old Farm House filming site (now a log cabin on the edge of a sod farm). One of my cousins (mother's cousin) told me of riding horses from the her farm to the filming site, and watching the filming activities back in '68.

After guessing, I went back and looked it up....It's a '67 LeMans. Was red in real-life, but couldn't tell that in the B&W movie. Too bad they smashed it.

If the zombie apocalypse ever does happen, in the north east I am getting a diesel. So much heating oil in home tanks here you could run for years. Of course it would have to be an old one without all the new pollution injection BS. Of course an electric car and some solar cells would be better...a lot quieter.
