I don't get that 717 hp as to the 707hp
They [DODGE] say because of the new hood is ramming more air to the filter.
So the head light area ramming air to the filter on the 707 hp CATS is not as good?
I bet on the street/track there would be no difference in performance.
When that engine was being dyno tested it wasn't receiving RAM AIR like in a moving vehicle.

The scoop on the hood has more area than just the Air Catcher (headlight) port and with the greater volume of fresh air available, tuned the 'Cat to take advantage of that.

Much like the Demon - larger scoop area to feed that larger displacement S/C unit (2.7L vs. 2.5L) with more fresh air to make the greater power.

In the FCA press release video for the 'Cat and the Redeye for '19 it was mentioned about the new hood scoop layout provided more air that allowed for the re-tuning.

How do we know that's a Redeye? Even if the Cat's eye looks red on the fender, it could be just the red paint showing through. Great badging, Dodge.

The badge is dark on the Redeye vs bright on the Hellcat.

I like them all but in order of hoods, I like the (1) Hellcat (2) Demon and (3) Redeye.

My friends all joke about the weight of the Hellcat so when the Redeye came out with those scoops, they pointed out that it reminds them of a pig nose and thus appropriate for our heavy cars. lol
Hoods are important to some. I know I opted to buy my '13 RT with Cervinis shaker, over an SRT just because the Shaker was that important. They didn't make them at the time so coolness factor was through the roof.

Even on black/dark color cars? Then, the cat's head would be practically invisible (except for the tiny eye). Still messed up. C'mon, Dodge!

The hood is why I traded my Scat Pack in on the 19 MY Hellcat.Did kind of remind me of Pontiac styling and the great cars they built. The 68 to 70 GTO hood was a thing of beauty especially to the Ram Air engines that rested underneath them.
