This is an investment in your own personal enjoyment of life and it is short!

So at some point put the scientific analysis of the monetary aspect aside and fly by the seat of your pants.

But only if you can afford it.
My car has been worth every penny.
nice!!!! Yes I will enjoy it everytime I mash the throttle

I'm a little late to this party, but an interesting thread none-the-less. I don't post much here, but do lurk and try to read what I find interesting.

I too am at the point in my life that I can write a check if I want too, but usually choose to finance. I make 10% on my money so it seems that a 4% car loan makes sense.

Over the years I've owned some fast and rare cars....a 70 Judge, an SD455 TA, a 79 4 speed TA, several Corvettes, yada yada. More recently I owned a 6 speed Scat Pack that I foolishly traded.....and regretted it immediately. I've wanted a Hellcat since they came out.

Tomorrow, I'm headed to the dealership to buy either a new Scat Pack or a used 2015 Hellcat. The Hellcat belongs to the General Manager, who has been a friend of mine for 20 years. It has 5000 miles on it and smells new. I can buy the Hellcat for about $5000 more than the cost of a comparatively equipped Scat Pack.

I think it's a pretty easy choice....

1. I'm going to buy 1 or the other. Life is short.

2. $5000 is a small price to pay for the Hellcat over the Scat Pack. I really want a Hellcat.

3. If he changes his mind about selling the HC, I think I'll order a new one. After all, none of us get out alive and money doesn't mean much when you're dead.

Unless the weather is really bad, tomorrow will be a gret day.

Let us know when you have it. A Hellcat from someone you know hasn't beat on it is a great assurance.

I guess I'm getting older than I thought. I got up this morning and the weather was too bad to cross the mountains, but.....

I'm worse than an old woman. I changed my mind about the car.

I have a new Rebel that is the best pickup I've ever owned. It really fits our life style and it's the most comfortable vehicle I've owned. I was going to trade it on the Hellcat, but decided it was more important to me than the car.

I also have a new Jeep JL. It is the 13th Jeep I've owned and it's the best Jeep I've had. Not willing to ger rid of it either.

I guess I don't want the Hellcat bad enough.

I still think it's dang near the perfect hot rod/muscle car for an old fart like me.
