Bast launch tips for a 392?

I had a hemi 5.7 and although it spun quite a bite it was not as hard to launch as the 392.
Light throttle and some chrip then hammer it and I could pull 5.2 on the street stock tires and air pressure.

I haven't really pushed the 392 since it is brand new 2019. I do have 315 NT555 out back and I had them at 36psi but it felt the same as stock 245s so now I run around 27-30 and it much better.
Just trying some street runs for 0-60 its easy to hit 4.8s but what is the best method on street to quick/unplanned launches. I have been using all street mode to keep it consistent. Street traction seems to avoid the spinning the best.

I figure it should be a 4.5 getting caught slow for example and maybe a 4.2 on a good hard launch. what are your results?

Is it better to spin some in 1st into 2nd or too avoid spin all together and start in 2nd? EVen in 2nd It will spin if I punch it too hard.

I have struggled with this myself. The weather conditions here have not been good for testing and I am not sure how accurate the info on the performance pages timers are as wheel spin seems to alter the info.
I think the only accurate testing is going to be had at the track.

Drag radials. Thats your answer. Otherwise there is not a street tire on earth that can hold back stabbing the 392 in first. See my video from the track last spring with the 305 MT ET street Rs. They are like glue. They stuck awesome on the road too. But they are basically slicks. That night it was like 3000 da and 90*.

Oh and on the street with only those tires, I went 3.6 0-60 according to the screen. No other mods.

The Launch Control on the 2019 is supposed to be improved over previous years so give it a shot, I know you said you wanted something quick but I'd be curious to see how it works for you 2019 guys.

Mine just created smokey burn outs but I haven't worked with my DR's yet.
I'm thinking starting at 1400 RPM's and see what happens.

Assuming you have the A8, I've made my best times launching in second gear with a 392.

You have 2 choices that I have found to work well on stock or similar tires.

#1 choice - easiest -> Launch control at minimum rpm - leave traction control full on.

#2 choice - quickest -> Track or sport mode (whichever you have) with traction control in SPORT.
Do light to medium burnout.
Use paddle to put trans in 1st so it doesn't upshift early. Leave stick in D - it will auto-upshift at redline.
GENTLY hold at 1000rpm against brakes. Roll into throttle so that you reach full throttle just after the 1-2 shift.
If you're on better pavement you may be able to get to WOT sooner.
