MAxcare Warranty

I am looking into the costs on the Maxcare plans. Boy have they gone up since 2015. I bought a 100 deductable Lifetime Maxcare for the wifes Overland, was 2100$

Looking at one for the SRT I ordered, no lifetime. So looking at 8 yr plans. Zieglers automated quote for 100$ is

8yr 60K 1535$

8 yr 75K 1800$

8yr 85K 2175$

8yr 100K 2630$

8y 125K 3060$

You can knock about 300$ per paln f you go 200 deductable.

Not sure what I am going to do, in 8 yrs I probably wont have more than 60-70 I am sure since it will be a toy, so maybe a 8y 75K with 200$ to just protect me if any of the electronics go.

Anyone else bought a policy the last few months, if so where and what did you pay??

I bought the lifetime plan for $3100 in 2015 for my scat pack challenger and am thinking of going to the dealer this week and getting a pro-rated refund. I'm at 27K miles, just not feeling the warranty, I see myself upgrading to hellcat in future...

I got the lifetime warranty on my 16 Scat Pack Shaker about 3 weeks before Dodge stopped selling them on SRT and SRT powered models. If I could only buy a 7 or 8 year warranty I would not get one because the car will not be driven in winter or rain the low mileage will mean I hope the car is 8-10 years old before I will need warranty work on mainly electronic and or water pump heater and AC. I would take the $3,100 and open a repair savings account rather than buy a warranty that will probably expire just when I start to need it. I also got the lifetime warranty on my GT I bought for a DD. Because I plan to keep it for as long as I can keep beating the RUST WORMS out of it keep it road worthy.
