replace suspension 2012 SRT8 options

What has worked for you? I've had it with stock Mopar suspension! All shocks replaced in 2014 under warranty and now the Service Active Suspension warning light came on. I had it diagnosed and it came back with a bad/stuck valve in right rear. Dealer tells me shocks have to be replaced in pairs plus I also need the ACDM module. I'm taking somewhere north of $2500 by the time labor/tax/parts.

I'm not interested in lowering the car and I really dont care about being able to switch back and forth to Sport mode. This is not my daily driver but I want to be able to cruise around without my girlfriend claiming she needs a support bra to ride with me .

Thanks!

You could put the standard (non adjustable) Bilsteins in. Thats' what the '11 SRT and '13/'14 SRT Core use as well as the '15 - current Scat Packs.

Your dealer is recommending replacing both sides, since one shock has use on it, the new one would be different - the issue is when removing the ADS shocks, you have to deal with disabling the error message that you have in the display.

The ride will be firm, but look at what we're working with...

Those ADS Bilsteins are ~ $550 per corner and shocks are a wear item.

For $2500 you can go with a nice suspension setup. I'd go aftermarket. It'll cost you half of that. And I agree the shocks should be changed in pairs. Buy the parts yourself and pay a local shop to install them. The service ads message would only be showing in the "set up" evic section as you scroll down. It won't beep and no lights would flash or stay on.

So once I decide what I want, I have a good mechanic I use. Does anything specific need to be done with the ACDM module and/or software or is it just a straight forward suspension install/swap?

I probably should have posted to the suspension forum as well but I dont know how to move my post.

Thanks to both of you for replying

Just unplug them from the shocks. Tuck them away somewhere under the wheel wells. I'd just use some tape to cover the plugs so you don't get anything inside. Straight forward swap.
Just curious to know what you'll be replacing them with? You can go with coilovers that cost around a grand. Just a suggestion. Let us know.

I've bought non ADS Bilsteins (24-284462, 24-284479) for my 2012 Cherger SRT8 with ADS. Can I just fit them without the plugs?

They'll bolt into the car, however - you'll need to have the dealer disable the "Service Adaptive Suspension" message (or whatever it actually displays as a warning)
