If upgrading from a MPVI Pro to an MPVI2 Pro feature set, what is the ball park lead time on getting the pro link? I take it the MPVI2 will ship out before the pro link, correct?

If you go through the upgrade process now yes the MPVI2 will arrive before the Pro Link. I don't have a ballpark at this time, it will depend on initial supply.

An unlocked PCM is required for +2015 dodge vehicles. HP only offers the modification service to unlock the PCM and not the PCM itself. You either buy an OEM PCM and send it to HP for modification or you send the one that came with your vehicle. However you need to have a read of the stock tune performed before you send them the PCM, so this assumes you already own a MPVI1 or MPVI2.

Once the PCM is unlocked you can use either the MPVI1 (comes with 8 dodge credits) or MPVI2 (you have to buy credits which are universal across other makes/models) to edit the tune at the cost of 2 credits.

Ah, they do have an option to buy modified PCMs...I don't know how I missed it? You still need to read your vehicles stock tune and email it HP tuners, hence you need an MPVI...1 or 2.

Yes the unlock process is separate from licensing and tuning and is an additional service that needs to be done on some newer vehicles.

This service was just introduced on our site a couple of months ago so you may not remember it being an option from before, but yes we do now sell modified PCM's for certain vehicles.

First products shipped in December 2018 and
January 2019 will have heatshrink (pictured here)
rather than the plastic case
