Pedal Commander AND Tazer. Thoughts?

I didn't find a specific post like this one, so I figured id just make a new one. (sorry if there already is one and I missed it)

I have a 2018 Challenger SXT, and have the PC already (I love it, btw). Can/should I get the Tazer as well, or is redundant? Pros/cons? Thanks.

They are not redundant in their functionality, one affects the inputs going into the PCM and the other affects the information being shown to you on the dash read-out/EVIC. The Tazer doesn't affect how the engine runs AFAIK, it just helps with accessing information the computer is storing but which is not being made available to you because of the car's trim level (SXT vs. SRT).

As for whether or not you should get the Tazer, only you can answer that. Go to their website and read up on what all the Tazer has to offer and it's price-point. Then decide if that functionality package is worth what they are asking (~$280 or so I believe). Or you can keep an eye on the classified forum to buy one used, but I don't see many for sale there that last long. So you would have to be quick to grab one used I bet.

If I'm not crazy (jury is out), you need to keep both devices connected for their features to work (Tazer might enable some features that work with Tazer removed? PC for sure needs to stay connected). But you only have one OBD-II port. I have seen OBD-II splitters, but unsure how well/if they work. Just be aware

@A Guy has a point, and I'm not just talking about his head ( ). The car's ODBII port will only accept one device at a time, and if both devices need to be plugged in to operate, you'll need an ODBII port splitter to make them both work. DiabloSport sells them, check their website...seems like they are around $20-30 IIRC.

PC doesn't connect to the ODBII port, it connects directly to the connector on the pedal. But I'm pretty sure both must be stay connected. I only have the PC

the Tazer has 2 feature sets really, the radio feature unlocks and "live" features. Once the radio is setup with the options you want (PP's, SRT mode, ETC) Those features stay enabled until the radio is flashed to remove those features. The Tazer does not have to be plugged in to make those features continue to function.
The LIVE features(Line Lock, Light show, ETC) are only available when you have the Tazer plugged in so those have to have plugged in to function.

Awesome. Thanks for the replies, all. I will be getting one soon, once that money tree blooms along with the rest of the trees. #AllergiesSuck
