Radio / AC controls

Does anyone know if the control panel can just be swapped out or if it requires programming?

Even though my car is under warranty I know it will take 2 trips to the dealer to get it fixed, one to confirm the problem and a second to have the part replaced after they get it in stock.

Given the little amount of free time I have due to caring for an elderly parent full time it's worth for me to buy a practicaly new unit for about $100 to swap myself.

I don't think the control panel requires any programming but you must select the correct one...there are 4 different types for the 2018 scat pack. The control panel itself is not cheap...$350-$400. Just have the dealer handle it.

Thanks for the advice, I did find the exact model for my car out of a very low mile wrecked 2018 for $100 shipped so it's tempting given the issues I have had with dealers in the past.
