You'd get the same result using peanut oil. Or any oil for that matter.

Has anyone tried just using WipeNew on the black plastic to both help protect it and keep it a deep black with a nice "shine" to it? I absolutely loved the WipeNew TIres product - made my tires look great all summer long - just washed them like i washed the rest of the car and they always had that nice deep black color and decent shine without even needing to use "tire shine"... Haven't really used the regular WipeNew for plastic stuff though.
