Long crank at cold start...

Hi everyone,

Got a long crank only at cold start. My spark plugs are new. My battery is good to go. So suspecting my fuel pump might not be priming her up for the cold start. I've done the off-to-on a few times and she started up. I'm hereto see if I'm wrong or if you guys have theories. I can check. Also, if you agree on the fuel pump, what is the best brand? Was thinking Spectra premium.

What type engine do you have ie 3.6, 5.7 etc. I asked because just went through this same thing with wives car. 3.6L and dealership did some update with computer and problem fixed. Found a TSB's for this issue on Chrysler 200 forum.

Still happening guys. Brand new battery. New spark plugs. Fuel pump turning on. So not sure starter is good. Alternator is basically new thanks to that recall. Seems like everything is going well on my datalogging on my intune i2.

Might be bleeding off at the aux pump passenger side. You can try a new one. They are around 300ish

Yea i might get one after i check my injectors and verify my pressure isn't holding up.
Should i replace my pump too? Was thinking just the aux its like 130ish. Ill do the work myself fairly easy job it seems.

Another easy thing to check are the intake manifold bolts.

You could also try resetting the PCM to clear the adaptives from any funky LTFT.

Whats good everyone, an update still haven't fixed the long crank at cold start. I changed auxiliary fuel pump only to get a defected spectra pump that didn't have a properly working sending unit. Anyone on recommendations on brand? Or upgrades?

Well if the AUX pump itself was working then it sounds like it is not your problem. Although the AUX pump only flows fuel to the other side of the saddle and does not supply the injectors directly. Have you checked your intake manifold bolts...or if their are fuel stains where the intake/heads meet?
