Rear Differential Oil Change

Wanted to ask you guys at what mileage have you been changing the rear diff oil? Also what oil you using. Thanks

You can change it at any miles, but at least when the factory calls for it to be changed.


An argument can be made that an early fluid change -- even for a diff -- can be beneficial. If one subscribes to this -- and I do -- then an early change in the 10K to 20K mile range is a good idea.



As an aside, my Hellcat's diff fluid will get changed at the car's next oil/filter service nominally scheduled to happen at 15K miles but I have not been driving the car that much over this winter and I may have to have the oil changed on time -- 6 months -- which would have this done sometime in June but at fewer than 15K miles.


Which reminds me my JCW is coming up on its 15K mile oil/filter service and I'm going to have the tranny (manual) and diff fluid changed then too.
