not necessarily normal, but certainly not abnormal. no cause for concern I would say

I need to do mine soon on my 02 Durango with the 4.7L Magnum V8..I'm way overdue on it so my plugs will prob look a lot worse than that pic you posted. Plus that motor has aluminum heads..can make spark plug extraction tricky..especially if they have been in there past there prime service life...oh the horror!!

2013 challenger rt has 48,000 miles when I removed that sparkplug, I just got this car 2 weeks ago. dont know if they ever changed it.

I have a 2013 R/T as well..how was the car running when you bought it? Pretty decent? Our year 5.7 Hemi calls for 30,000 mile service life for the plugs..

Gotcha...I bet they were the original plugs and never changed out.

The plug is not bad. That is additive in the fuel. Winter/summer blend. Many octane boosters and aftermarket additives will cause that look. I freshened mine a lot more than a daily driver, lots of Nos.
