Considering a Challenger - 13/14 SRT or 15/15 R/T+

Title basically says it all, my current ride may be totaled, and im looking into a Challenger as a replacement. What are your opinions, 13/14 SRT or 15/16 R/T plus with Super Track Pack?

Got my 11 Challenger SRT in 2012 and have not regretted it, compared to my 07 Charger R/T, none.
The 392 is a fantastic engine.

I have a 15 R/T Plus Shaker with STP and I love everything about it. The updated exterior & interior in my opinion is way better than the older models. For me the 5.7 is more than enough especially as my daily driver even when I want to have some fun & push it a lil bit with the STP. Being the Plus is also nice because it'll give you all the convenience features such as leather seats with heated/vented options, heated mirrors, premium sound group etc. I'd say do the 15+ for sure.

You'll have fun with both, I'd try to drive each one and see which you prefer. I like the style of the pre 2015 models better and you're gonna get the bigger engine, so the SRT would be my vote.

I like the pre 2015 better also. Love my RT Plus and the 5.7 has proved to be bullet proof and gets nice milage and usually just a fun weekend cruise highway car, I like the color first and also the louder cat back I put on it…….I wanted a V8 and thats what came with the car……but to be honest….I sure wish it had the 392 in it now.

392 Hemi or you'll wish you had. The '15+ cars do have the benefit of the refresh which includes several upgrades but the engine is too important to ignore. Unless, hp isn't as important to you. You can add a backup camera to a pre-'15 if that matters (blind spot is HUGE for Challengers when backing out of parking spots). New cars with the leather interior have ventilated seats which are a must have for warm climates. All depends on what you want out of your ride.

I had a couple of 345 Hemi (5.7) cars and I always wanted the 392. That being said, the new interior is leaps and bounds ahead of the older style. Having had both to compare, I can say I wouldn't want to go back to the older style.

Please do yourself a favor and test drive both motors. I started out with a 15 r/t plus and it was pretty awesome for my first challenger. After about 1 year I craved the 392. What I like is I don't have to spend a bunch of $ to get the exhaust sound that I have with my SP. The 392 IMHO, just moves the 4,200 lb.
a lot easier than the 5.7. Have fun shopping!!

The SRT8 all day. +15s have some cool upgrades but I like the pre 15s looks overall.
