Daily driving a 1320 Challenger?

If a person put a good set of All Season Tires (like Continental DWS) on the car would it be just as friendly a daily driver as a regular scat? Seeing as how the car has the demon suspension and some other demon components what would the differences be in say ride quality, handling etc.? Being designed more for the track, would those demon parts hold up to the miles accumulated with normal street use? I have been looking at Scat Challengers again one of which is a 1320 car. I think it would be cool to own a car that could perform that well at the drag strip but only if it could be just as good and dependable a regular driver as a basic Scat. So what do you guys think?

I ordered a Scat Pack Wide Body and I'm going to be driving mine all year round up here in New England. Mine has the Hellcat/Hellcat Red Eye suspension in it. I don't think that the 1320 Scat Pack has the Demon Suspension on it. I believe that you need to get the adaptive dampening suspension on the 1320 in order for it to have the Hellcat/Hellcat Red Eye suspension. If I can drive mine in the winter up here in the snow and salt, so can you up there in North Carolina where you are located.

It does.

"True drag racing aficionados will prefer the Challenger Scat Pack R/T 1320, which matches the Demon’s suspension and drivetrain with the naturally aspirated, 485-horsepower, 6.4-liter Hemi 392. "

I would be too tempted to use the line lock and trans brake when a Camaro, Mustang or Corvette owner gets ****y at a red light.

The 1320 should be a fine, comfortable daily driver. The demon has 800+ HP and the parts for that car are designed for 800+ HP. The 1320 should not have parts failure in daily driving.

The suspension being soft could help on some nasty roads. Though I've heard it has a tendency to heave over on itself around corners. So really I'm thinking it might handle the most like an old muscle car from the 60s/70s.

It might be a good idea to take the factory wheels and drag radials off and get a set of regular Scat Pack take-offs for daily use. Save the drag radials for when you're driving to and from the drag strip. Otherwise you're just wasting their capability.

+ on having a 2nd set of wheels / tires for daily duty.

Those Nexen drag radials only have a 100 treadwear factor rating. If anyone thought GY Eagle F1s wear fast...

Oh, well. Someone else already bought the 1320 I was looking at. I guess they will have to see how good a daily driver it is. Man, those things sell FAST!

The Wide Body Scat Packs sell fast too. There were 2 Wide Body Scat Packs in my area just recently within the last few weeks and they each sold in less than 2 weeks. They each sat on the lot less than 2 weeks.

I just bought a 1320. Immediately bought a set of street friendly tires and 2 more wheels. Will only use the drag radials when I take it to the strip. The car is a great cruiser/driver like any other 6.4 Scat Pack with the performance settings at normal. I see no reason why it wouldn't be dependable on the street.
