My new Yellow Jacket RT 392 Shaker

Picking up my new yellow challenger tomorrow? I am going to want to put on a new exhaust, get a tuner and some new wheels. Am I going to have to create a thread in each sub forum or is there a general sub forum I can create a thread for questions I have about my car?

I feel like a kid on Xmas eve!!!

Feel out the factory active exhaust before you think about making a change there. Most just replace the center mufflers for more sound but otherwise its a pretty good system.

Congratulations on your new Shaker! I wanted a Shaker the first time I saw the commercial. I even bypassed the Hellcat at the dealer even though my wife was pressing me to get it and ordered one in the end of 2015. I couldn't be happier with it and after two previous R/Ts this one is a keeper. I hope you enjoy that baby in good health!

The black one is my old 2010 RT, traded it in last November on a Cherokee SRT. Winter is now gone and I miss my car so here I am lol. I’ll post pics when I get it home

I would run the new car with the current exhaust for a bit and see what you think. The new active exhaust system sounds nothing like the older cars. I eventually changed mine by cutting out the mid mufflers and replacing them with Flowmaster 40s. Love the sound.

As for a tuner, be aware that the 2015+ PCMs are encrypted and have to be unlocked in order to tune them. You will need to buy a tuner and an unlocked PCM. And the dealer will be able to tell as soon as they hook up a scanner, as it sets a permanent code in the BCM that the PCM has non stock programming. FCA will almost certainly void your powertrain warranty for that.

Welcome from South Florida, congrats on the new ride.

Post up some pictures once you pick it up, we would love to check it out. A lot of people do like the stock exhaust, I am a fan of Zoomers and have this one my SRT.
