Purchasing a 2019 392 SP Challenger

Hey guys,

I’m new here and there are lots of excellent posts about the cars that we all love. Just started making more money and looking for more power. I recently put in an order to purchase a 2019 392 SP Challenger (May 8th build date) with the lowest of the low options excluding Plum Crazy paint w/ 6 speed manual. Will be a summer-time toy only. (I don’t listen to music, I know my sense of direction, don’t care about heated seats/leather, and auto trans) Just a few questions I have... what kind of prices did you guys get for yours? Dealer figured around $38100 w/ sales tax, license fees, etc before trade-in value. I’ve seen a few brand-new 6 speeds with more options for around 36-37k after the fact I put in for the order. 🙄 Just doesn’t really make sense since mine is lowest of the low, unless there’s hidden fees somewhere for those 36-37k cars. Also, is there a possibility that there’s other hidden rebates depending on the location you’re in? I see some people get like 3-5k off mrsp... Also, how long was it for you to get car after build date? The dealer wasn’t really straight forward when I asked them and just basically told me to wait for a phone call...just really curious since I’ve never ordered a car from the factory before, so sorry if the questions seem dumb.

Thank you.

After a lot or research and travel to multiple dealers up and down the east coast I wound up ordering mine at my local dealer in Brooklyn NY who came within $500 of the Lowest price quoted. I ordered a Scat Pack Wide Body in Granite with black cloth interior. Manual transmission and driver’s convenience package. Pretty much barebones muscle. Final price was 44,700 plus NY sales tax and DMV fees. 49k out the door. Car is in route to dealership now, however, weather here is lousy so I’m hoping to get the call later next week so I can ceramic coat it with minimal prep.

You’re going to love it. The SP makes for an incredible all around performer.
