Thumbs up 2011+ Moroso Aluminum Coolant Tank @ Speedlogix

We received the first (prototype) Moroso coolant tank for the 2011+ cars, and it looks amazing! We'll be installing this one to post photos, but you can tell it's going to look awesome in the engine bay, just like the 2005-2010 ones did. We will have the first batch of 25 available, so if you want to pre-order to reserve yours, you can do so here:

Pre-order: Moroso Coolant Tank 11-12 Challenger, Charger, 300
(We won't charge your credit card until the tanks are ready to ship.)

I am happy the unecessary tabs were removed, but don't understand why there was a change in the unit's actual shape? We know the earlier ones fit the 2011+ just fine, so why make that change?

How much coolant does this version hold versus the earlier one?

Are you going to be offering these in anodized versions as suggested earlier?

This design mimics the fitment of the 2011+ oem tank, the tank was changed by Dodge in 2011, this follows the same design cues. This also allows for figment of the oem intake tube as well as any available aftermarket option. The older design would not.

We have an already available option that works on the pre-11 cars.

OK - thanks.

Can you answer my other questions you overlooked about the coolant amount and anodizing please?

^^ No, he actually cannot answer that, and did not overlook anything, contrary to your assumption ... He doesn't work AT the shop all day, so he told me about this to get with you this morning. We CAN anodize them, yes. Whether we will or not depends on the demand from customers.

How will you determine this then? And any idea of how much doing so will add to the price? I would consider getting one anodized GWE, but without knowing the cost or if/when that would ever be offered, I guess I will hold off for now. I would hate to purchase a silver one only to see a GWE one offered one month later.

Well, since the very first tank just arrived yesterday I need to get a quote for the anodize cost. Then, if you want to pay that, we can go from there. The first 25 tanks are coming to us, so if you get your pre-order in you can at least reserve your tank and we can sort out the anodize between now and then, if the price is okay with you.
