Being a Seattle native, I continue to cringe and wonder how these socialist commie idiots keep coming up with this kind of crap. All of these things like straw bans, minimum wage hikes, sugary drink taxes, the “Amazon” tax, ammo taxes, etc., etc. It’s pure insanity, that pretty much nobody outside the city limits agrees with, yet being the largest city tends to dictate how the area and even state is run.

Make no mistake either, this ordinance is nothing more than a thinly veiled tax, for an area that is already one of the most taxed places in the US. Probably dreamt up as a way to generate revenue for the mass transit system these morons are so in love with, but so ineffective as to be useless for just about anyone outside the city.

They’ve been using our own cars to beat taxes out of us for years (I-405 tolls are rediculous, $10 just to use what used to be the HOV lane some days), and funneling money that should be for roads instead into mass transit that doesn’t help anyone living outside city limits. There is literally no way to get to my office daily using this hippy day dream system unless I want to take 4 extra hours out of my day to ride countless buses, all hoping the stars align and everything is on time.

It’s high time people figure a way to run all these morons out of town to peddle their crap back in Cali where all this nonsense seems to originate (sorry California!).

I may just have to "visit" Seattle to grab a few tickets and head back home. Keep the nerds busy for a day with me and my OEM stock exhaust.

These fools have way more real problems to deal with, but they're just too full of themselves to actually do anything.

On a different note, I finally got stopped by a State LEO here outside my little town last month. I ran into a LEO with a real attitude. OK, didn't have my required front plate on. (It's been over two years without it and no issues). So, he started on that, then my legal tinted windows, and also thought that the car sounded a little too loud too.

I told him sorry about the plate, it's a quick change and in the trunk, and I can put it on right now. Also told him that I bought the car new, with the windows tinted from the dealer stating that it meets tints laws in the State. Guess he didn't like that and started on the "noise". Again, I politely told him that the car is bone stock from the factory, meeting all Federal requirements.

He went to his car for about 5 minutes, and came back with my license. "I'll just give you a verbal warning about the plate needing to be on, and lighten those windows up."

OK and thanks, and we parted ways. Guess he was having a bad day, or just a hater in general. Worst attitude that I've had to deal with from a State LEO.

Maybe he would fit in with the Seattle crowd! lol

This right here!!! You cant give me a ticket for a stock exhaust plain and simple. Also, to one up that, I live in a part of Washington where there is NO emissions, so where I live my modified exhaust is perfectly okay. Seattle can suck it. There is a reason why over half the state would annex king county to its own state if given a chance. Most Pierce county residents HATE king county. While, im on one... Why would anyone want to visit a city that gives safe places for heroin users to do their drugs, but want to ban firearms in places they shouldn't be banned? I avoid Seattle as much as possible and Ive been a resident of the PNW for over 34 years.

Check out the wording for your states license plates requirements. Washington state says the front plate has to be fastened somewhere to the front of the car in between 0 and 4ft high. Your passenger side visor is considered the front of the car and under 4ft high. Already fought that once when I was young punk kid and won without an attorneys help.

Cops are bullshit 9 out of 10 times. They think they can write you up for what THEY THINK the law is, its absolutely crazy. Company I worked for invited state patrol to our shop to go through our rigs and let us know what is illegal and what isn't so we can fix it. One state patrol says "the only knot legal to use for a tie down on a commercial vehicle is a slip knot. However, I don't know the difference between a slip knot and other knots so if I pull you over im going to give you a ticket just to err on the side of caution." WHAT?!?! how is that even okay?? cops...smh...

And we allow these clowns to carry firearms and make life and death decisions and many applaud when they shoot unarmed citizens in the back.

This is VERY interesting to know; I've been asked to come back to Seattle recently (in TX now) and it's things like this that would be a huge problem for me. I'd be driving into the city each and every day; those fines could really stack up while I try to argue in favor of my factor exhaust (which it isn't right now).

Comment aside, is the Bay Area really this bad in CA for cars like ours too? I know registration is completely insane in CA... but should I expect it to be a hassle to even own my SP?

While Seattle has some issues, the new ordinance enforcement being of them, you posted misinformation which simply isn't accurate.
