I wasn't aware there had been two different clubs. I'm sorry if didn't work out, I know you were enthusiastic about them.

When a certain person said he was going to start a NEW club, I knew it was going to be doomed. About half the members quit due to his psycho and paranoia type actions. Oh, and he sexually harassed my wife after we quit, and the board decided his actions were a ok....because we were no longer members.

Unfortunately, so many "clubs" are lead by some sort of "alpha dog" that just loves to hear themselves talk, and just wants to be the "ruler" of all.

The way I look at it, a club should be fun. I get enough BS five days a week with work stuff, and I don't need another pin head dictating stuff.

Maybe it's harder to enjoy a club now than in the past. So many folks "look down" at the retro muscle cars for no other reason than "it's a new car."

A real car guy is a car guy, never mind what it is. Just respect the owner for doing what he wanted, with whatever he has..

I gave up on clubs of any kind years ago.Cars, guns, church, etc.It always starts out fun and games, smiling faces and ends with arguments, accusations, back stabbing ,drunks, and easily offended people.

I've pretty much gave up on people in general for that matter, especially in groups.

I still love cars, guns, and God etc though.

That's my sunshine for the day.Carry on!

How are clubs only for Corvettes goofy? So Honda Civics should be allowed to join too?

Understand that, and being a "lone wolf" is actually pretty good for me. People who are interested, come over and want to talk about cars when I'm stopped somewhere. The overall majority just want to see a cool car up close and BS a little.

No drama, and I prefer that

Yeah that makes sense. I've been to the Vette forum(s) & found most members to be decrepit snobs.

Latest up date: 10 people quit the club at once at the last meeting, when those 10 members asked that the Pres step down due to online and private messaging harassment, and he denied it and refused to step down. When that issue was brought up, loud shouting ensued, a hockey game almost broke out, and the Pres had to be escorted from the building. Parents had to cover their kids ears the language got so bad. Dang I wish I had been there!
