DFW or Houston to touch up door edge paint chip

Gentleman, Please allow myself to introduce myself (Austin Powers movie for those that missed that ref) my name is Mikey and I do love my 2016 RT/Scat painted in the best/worst color--pitch black.

It pains me to type the following as my first post, but the transport company (enclosed and not a fly-by-night operation) I hired to transport my 2016 RT/Scat-Pitch Black to DFW chipped the paint on the edge of the drives door (high visibility). The owners of the company were called and the standard apologies were given and I accepted them because accidents happen. The damage is done…now its time to fix said damage. I don't have an online photo account so I cannot post a picture. The chip on the door is the standard chip (THAT YOU CAN SEE FROM 10 FT AWAY!) that occurs when the door is opened into another object on the outer edge of the door.

The transport company is covering the cost to resolve the situation. The owners of the transport company (being car enthusiast and transporters) will be reaching out to their contacts to see who can remedy the situation in my local area of DFW. First thoughts—no one including me wants to paint the door nor should I be tasked with applying a blob of touch up paint to resolve the problem.

The transport drivers first thought was to locate a skilled pinstriping artist to carefully apply a few layers of pitch black paint to the damaged area. Can anyone recommend someone in the DFW (I live just north of McKinney) or Houston (I have friends I can visit and get the car fixed) that can make things right?

What’s the best way to fix the damage so I don’t have to see said damage every time I walk up to the car?

Regards,

Mikey L.

Since you can't post a picture, I can only use my imagination of the seriousness of the damage. However, I suggest that you look into Dr. Colorchip. I've used it and it's extremely simply, easy to do, and provides excellent results. There are videos to show you how it works and it's not the same as "applying a blob of touch up paint".
