    ken:
yes let me know. & yes most guy care only about exhaust but i care about both, obviously.what i can't figure out is why a front dash control? mine on the challenger comes on in both drive mode & accessory mode. now my sho which i have 2 10" in a box as sho as plenty of trunk room was wired only to work when car is running, which i personally like better. no battery issues as that extra 600 watts will eat up a battery in accessory mode. still envy you with a sp. saw my friend this past weekend & that 15' sp w/shaker is just plain a beaut both looks wise & sound wise. he's got a lot of jack, wife works & no kids, but i have 2 cars for me, my '10 sho that i show at car shows & my challenger r/t, both tuned so have a good 800 hp sitting in my driveway so it's not i got the short end of the straw.

Great report... I doubt there are more than a very few people who have added the Challenger stealthbox... so your feedback is very important to me. I'll drop you a note about my experience after install...

    Safe driving!

1st- yes a major increase in bass so definitely from what i've read about the 10" kicker not being much different worth the extra
2nd- my tech & i know because i tried when i 1st got it had to work with it a good 10-15 just to get it into place. it was that tight & i mean tight. now you got a newer car so could be a difference there, you will know when you get it & the right way is to bolt it, but if it comes loose my guy said he would bolt it but i'd be amazed it's that tight
3rd the kicker amp cx600, he told me to buy he put on the back of the rear passenger seat. i really wanted under the back deck but he said really no room & besides this was a cleaner install, no wires showing going to battery. got no control knob for amp & don't have on my other car as well, you just change how much bass you want using radio controls. i'm sure dash control is raising the price, a lot of work running cables to dash, then working with the dash. don't know enough to know if need front dash control

    Wow - looks TOTALLY factory!!

My audio shop is putting in an dedicated sub amp, front dash control, and LOC, for $2000 (including the cost of the stealthbox - $625). So you did great!! Or I'm getting ripped off .

As to not drilling a hole I called JL audio a while back and they claimed that without the hold-down bolt the box will eventually work its way loose from the sub's vibration. Did your installer use any fasteners or straps to prevent this or is it only tension held?

As to the increased in sound quality - would you say it is a *MAJOR* upgrade? Or is that overstating things. My shop also claimed there would be some increase in volume because the side speakers would no longer be driving base. True?

Thanks so much for the update. I plan to do the install for my birthday in 4 weeks!

ken, just got it done sat in fact. i have really only 1 pic as was not there for install. but yes it sounds a lot better than the factory sub. install cost $225, think he got me a little on this as & this is the good part the sub box fit was made so exact to fit that area that once in place it's going to take a lot to get it out. the other was i wrong about the carpet on . it was a perfect match . thus i'm well pleased he did not have to drill a hole for the install & with the unit itself & does make the quality much better & still leave the trunk with ample room to haul things. so i would highly recommend it, for sure over the 10' factory replacement. I got a kicker amp to go with as they have a good name plus was on sale where he worked. here's the pic.

    Hello -

Did you ever get your JL stealthbox installed? If so, I would appreciate your opinion on how big a difference it made and pixs, if possible.
