Sorry, just now saw this message.

Anyway, in answer to your questions:
    1) It has a more noticable audio profile, but calling it "louder" is a little too much. It is more noticable and sounds much better is the only way I can really describe it. It won't annoy any neighbors.
    2) Hard to remember, but I believe it was something like 1K miles before it really started to sound good. It was probably 500 miles before I could stand the sound myself, and another 500 miles before it started to sound okay. Then after about 1500 miles, it really started to come into its own, and I started to develop a perma-grin on my face everywhere I drove.

IMHO, you cannot go wrong with the JFB 4554. I haven't heard the v-tube on a live Challenger so I don't have that much to compare with it, but I know I was pleased as pudding with how much the improvement was over the stock exhaust in going with the 4554.

As far as drone, I never really thought it had any, but there again, I never had much to compare it to...UNTIL, I recently drove a Volkswagon TDI with some aftermarket mufflers on it, and that sucker had drone out the wazzoo. So now that I know what drone is, I can say the 4554 was nothing like that at all.

I can't watch the video of the flowmaster 40 to know if it sounds like the JFB or not, but I can't imagine it sounds much better than the JFB, if it does at all.

Just remember, it's going to sound like hammered dog crap at first, but once it gets burned in, you'll find yourself taking the long way around to go anywhere because it sounds so good.
