  1. Drive-on Ramps for Oil Change/etc.

    General Challenger Discussion
Race ramps. I delayed for a long time because of cost but then found a pair for a fraction of the price on Market Place. Best money I have spent in a long time. They are light and do not slip on smooth concrete surfaces. You'll thank us once you have your own set.
  2. Sxt v6 to v8s Bummed

    2015 Challenger Information & Discussions
Here's a true story for you. Guys with the dual motor Teslas can turn your V8 of choice inside out. These guys are appearing more often at red lights near you. The moral of the story is that style is often far better than speed. Enjoy your Challenger for what it is, not what it's not.
  3. Does a 2015 SRT 392 M6 require a skip shift eliminator...?

    General Challenger Discussion
It took me a few years but I finally gave in after getting tired of, "driving around it". Best 10 bucks I ever spent on a car. It took more time to drive the car onto the race ramps than it did to install the skip shift.
  4. Where NOT to buy a 2020 Shelby GT500 Coupe

The Garage: For OTHER car talk
I feel like we see these outrageous markups on the regular now. I half believe it's for the purpose of making the ad go viral.
  5. Think it's Totaled ??

    General Challenger Discussion
I've seen deer hits far worse than this. Those get fixed most of the time but the bottom line is that nobody here can do anything other than guess. The devil is in the details and unfortunately a single picture can't disclose those details. Someone will need to dig into the car and determine...
  6. What would you do different next time?

    General Challenger Discussion
I know exactly how this line of thought goes because it's what drove me to the Scat Pack. The 6.4 is the closest thing that I could buy that would mimic my long lost 70 R/T 440 magnum 4 speed. Try not to get hung up on the lifetime warranty. The Apache platform has been around for a long time...
  7. New Member, Loving The Challenger

    New Member Introductions
It must triple suck having to shelf the car and the two bikes. I remember looking at my motorcycles in winter storage and being sad. Welcome.
  8. My new to me T/A 392.

    New Member Introductions
Beautiful car. 8lbs is as far as you want to go before you introduce issues to the stock internals and drive train. Spiral is a nice way of saying, "Gone broke." As for power advertisement, I'd go even more conservative and simply leave, "Supercharged" on there by itself.
  9. Backfire / blue flames is it possible?

    Performance Modifications
Back in the day, we drilled and tapped the exhaust and added spark plugs to burn off the fuel coming down the exhaust pipe. It made a nice flame show out of the rear end of the car. I can't imagine that a modern vehicle has enough unused fuel to do this. A quick Google search shows that there...
  10. Disarm/Remove EVTS?

Car Electronics- Lights, Fuses, Audio & Video
I forgot all about this post. I'm sorry that I didn't see your follow up. As pointed out, you simply unplug it from the OBD-II port under the steering wheel. From there you can follow the lead wire and remove the actual unit from wherever the previous owner mounted it.
  11. Skip-Shift Eliminator (6-speed) In Stock at Speedlogix

    Speedlogix
That price is crazy and I'm pissed off that I paid full price a week before this deal dropped.
  12. Anyone install Borla catback?

    Dodge Challenger SE/SXT Specific
Actually, I have heard the drone on the V6 cars also, so I have a good sense of what will happen to the OP. Lots of young guys show up at the local cruise-in with V6 cars and they're always looking for a quick way to make them sound like a V8. While that's a different discussion altogether...
  13. Someone please give me exterior upgrade ideas

    General Challenger Discussion
I'm a big fan of the old school engine CID badges on the sides of the hood scoops. I added the 392 Hemi badges to mine. If I look out of the corner of my eye, they look just like the old 440 Magnum badges on my long lost love.
  14. Defending 5.7 owners!

    Dodge Challenger R/T Specific
I have to say that the 5.7 mated up with the TorqueFlite 8 speed automatic is no slouch. My dealer let me test drive one while I waited for the recall work being done on my SP. It was very smooth and the power was applied evenly across all gears. Dodge really got the drive train dialed in right...
  15. Anyone install Borla catback?

    Dodge Challenger SE/SXT Specific
It may sound unfair, but drone is an inconvenient truth with aftermarket exhaust systems whether you have a V6, I4, V8, Sherman tank...whatever. This is a far worse thing to live with than the embarrasingly tacky sound of an aftermarket exhaust on a V6. Now if I address the tacky question, to...
  16. Anyone install Borla catback?

    Dodge Challenger SE/SXT Specific
I had a Borla S-type on my SS Camaro. Idle and wide open were heaven but that's where the love story ended for me. The drone between 2,200-2,500 RPM drove me nuts. Unfortunately this is the RPM range where the car liked to live while on the highway. If I could offer any helpful advice, try your...
  17. 392 CAI Real HP Gains (data) - Fact or Fiction?!?!?

    Intake & Exhaust
The short and simple fact of the matter is that you will not get any horsepower gain with a CAI. What you will get is an expensive noise maker that looks cool under your hood. The design of the factory airbox is excellent. Some things are best left alone.
  18. Skip-Shift Eliminator (6-speed) In Stock at Speedlogix

    Speedlogix
These things go on sale for 8 bucks in December? Urgh...now you tell me. I just ordered one at full price.
  19. Issues with 392 manual trans

    Challenger Issues & Problems
My guess is that they will come back with, "bad syncros" as the diagnosis. They will then tear the transmission apart and swap out the old for new. The only concern I would have with your dealer is the misdiagnosis of a bad clutch. I hope for your sake that they know what they're doing. A...
  20. Issues with 392 manual trans

    Challenger Issues & Problems
2nd gear syncros are notorious for being bad in these cars. They were upgraded to composite material over the years but people still end up having issues. In your case, it sounds like the fix will require cracking open the transmission. People have had mixed results with this. I say this only...
