What tire size to replace 20's with 18's and maintain the same overall height as 245 x 45 x 20's. Also, what is the widest tire that will fit on 7 1/2 inch rims (safely):scratchhead:

Does any manufacturer make a RWL tire in 18"'s

Thanks all

Try going to some of the tire company web sites. Many of them have applications where you can put in your rim or tire size to find the right corresponding fits. Also - you probably know this - to equal the ride height of the 20" wheels/tires with an 18," you'll need a taller sidewall than is on the 245/45s.

I fit 275/45R18 drag radials on mine and they fit great.

The recommended maximum tire width for a 7.5" wheel is a 245mm tread. The height of your current 245/45R20 tire set up is 28.7".

In order to maintain the near same height for the 18" wheels the set up would have to be 245/55R18 tire which would have a height of 28.6".
